About Our Club
All SCW owners, residents and guests, men and women, are welcome and encouraged to participate. All you need is the interest to get involved, the desire to stay active, and the ability to relax. This is the same game that you likely played at county fairs, family picnics, reunions and church functions. The one difference is important: At our age, we have the option of pitching from 30 feet rather than the regulation 40 feet. To many of us, it is a welcome change.
Experienced pitchers are at the pits daily to help you meet some of our members, settle in, learn the game, and have some fun.
Come try it! The worst that can happen is you have a little fun. But, you may find it to be the challenge that brings you back a second time. With your rec card, these pits are available to you at regularly scheduled times outside of Club hours. Who knows, one day you too may be conversant with “ringers,” “leaners,” “bean,” “four dead,” and “the dirt.”
Please consider investing $10 a year for membership in the Horseshoe Club. We think you’ll like it.

Meeting Times
“Meetings” for the Horseshoe Club consist of open pitching and instruction on the Beardsley horseshoe courts, held Monday through Friday. Because of the extreme summer heat, we pitch on a schedule. Please see below.

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
October 1 – April 30
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
